Recommended Actions

Consideration of entering into an Amendment to MCC No. 10064-C-2014, with Mark Davis and Carrie Davis, in the amount of $18,720.00, for rental of Real Property located at 215 South Fourth Street, Chowchilla, CA, for the Department of Behavioral Health Services, extending the term through February 29, 2024, and adjusting the lease rate by 1 percent annually, for fiscal years 2019-2024 and authorize the Chairman to sign.

Discussion:

 

Behavioral Health Services (BHS) has rented property at 215 South Fourth Street in Chowchilla for its Chowchilla Recovery Center since 2008. It currently occupies 2,795 square feet of space. The lease is due to expire on February 28, 2019.

 

The proposed lease amendment will extend the lease to February 29, 2024. The landlord has requested a 1 percent annual increase in rent as part of the lease extension. Behavioral Health Services is in agreement with the increase.

 

Staff recommends approval of the amendment as presented.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

 

There is no net impact to the County's General Fund as a result of this action. Behavioral Health Services can absorb the increase within its FY 2018-19 appropriations, and will budget accordingly in future budget cycles.
